Not A Tourist handles your data with care. Here you can read which data we process, why, and what your rights are.
Which data we process
Contact form. If you fill in the form, we process your name, email address, the name of your property and your message. We use this data only to respond to your request and keep it for [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. at most 12 months].
Statistics. We measure the use of this site with our own privacy-friendly system: no advertising networks and no data shared with third parties for marketing. This only happens after you have given consent through the cookie notice. We then record pages visited, rough scroll and reading time and a random session number. Your IP address is not stored.
Example guide. The guide you build on the homepage exists only in your browser and in the link behind the QR code. We store none of it; a logo you add never leaves your browser.
Cookies
This site uses a minimum of cookies and local storage:
- cookie_consent(local storage) — remembers your choice in the cookie notice.
- theme(local storage) — remembers whether you chose the dark theme.
- nat_tryit(session storage) — remembers the example guide you build on the homepage, until you close the browser.
- site_sid(cookie, 30 days) — a random session number for the visitor statistics. Only set after you accept statistics.

Who we share data with
We never sell your data. To run the site we work with a limited number of processors: [ADJUST, e.g. hosting (Vercel), email service for the contact form (Resend), database for statistics (Supabase)].
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. To do so, email info@notatourist.nl. If we cannot resolve it together, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
